Charter Plane Management System: Using Visual J++ 6.0 development tools and Oracle database.

·              Designed a custom java application for airlines database system, using WFC (Window Foundation              Classes) feature of Visual J++ 6.0 for developing GUI  to perform DML(select, insert update delete,              refresh) operations with backend connectivity using data source, data binders and other WFC tools.

Management Information Systems Database: Using SQL, PL/SQL, Developer 2000 (Forms and Reports)

·              Developed the school’s professional MIS Organization database to keep detail information on members,              events, sponsors, organization’s finances using Developer 2000 forms and reports.

Hair Color Choice Formulation Procedures: A project for Farouk Systems using VB 6.0/Access

·              Prepared a Visual Basic 6.0 custom application that used complex queries to determine the appropriate              hair dye choice for beauty parlors for 36,000 hair color change possibilities in 7 color level matches.

·              This was multiform application that selected the appropriate Hair Color ingredient mixture and then              explained different application steps depending upon the original hair color to target hair color choice.

·              In school designed a similar project for inventory maintenance of Jeans Store. Used VB forms and OLE              links, and created a GUI interface and used Crystal Reports to display invoice and customer data.

Software Project Management of College Information System Software Registration/Admission software

·   The purpose of this project is to prepare a business plan to develop software for college information management system (CMIS). This detailed plan collects, analyzes and defines the high-level needs and features that the student information system software product has to offers to the universities.  It discusses tentative-users’ needs, stakeholders involved, the target environment under which the system will operate, product capabilities, features, cost, and constraints, performance and system requirements for developing this software, business analysis, work breakdown structure, software developmental plan, software architectural plan, installation, licensing, packaging as well as a discussion of the market demographics, and possible competitors. Additionally, product documentation issues are discussed. Finally, the document is supplemented with an appendix describing feature attributes of this product.

Program (Business) Data Evaluation of WSU’s Writing Center (WC)

·   Elicit requirements through interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis as well as task / workflow analysis

·   Used Mixed Methods to conduct a complete evaluation study with the WSU’s WC. Evaluated two major components of the writing center (1) Group Tutorial Program (2) The Online Writing Lab (OWL) program. Collected data using survey, interview, observations and artifact analysis.

·   Designed and conducted website evaluation (artifact analysis), interview, observations and a survey, gathered/analyzed data, prepared reports and presented in 1/1/2 months.

Factors Influencing Response Rates for CEA End of Term Evaluation

·   Used SPSS to conduct correlation, regression, and multivariate data analysis of comment sections of end-of fall term, 2006 paper evaluations for WSU College of Engineering. Factors studied were student enrollment, student response rate, class-size, student level of degree, and faculty scores on performance.

·   Analyzed the factors determining the number of comment-words or student comment-writing quantity.

Student Retention: Effects of course Drop, Withdrawal, and Failure (DWF) rates

·   Used SPSS to conduct correlation and regression analysis to understand factors that affect student’s course failure, drop, and withdrawal rates among WSU Colleges. Factors studied were class-size, faculty performance rating score, and course rubric.
